WTO chief warns of worst crisis in global trade since 1947

The head of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has said global free trade is facing its "worst crisis" since 1947. Roberto Azevedo told the BBC that the current protectionist wave is threatening free trade. He is in Buenos Aires where world leaders are gathering for the G20 summit on Friday and Saturday. The escalating trade war between the US and China is high on the agenda at the global summit. US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping are scheduled to meet on Saturday evening.

Chinese billionaire "Jack Ma" 'If trade stops, war starts"

Retreat from globalization will only result in trouble, warned China's second richest man Jack Ma during a visit to Australia.“Everybody is concerned about trade wars. If trade stops, war starts,” he said in Melbourne, where the e-commerce giant Alibaba opened its Australia and New Zealand headquarters.

“But worry doesn't solve the problem. The only thing you can do is get involved and actively prove that trade helps people to communicate,” said Alibaba’s CEO, as quoted by Business Insider Australia. The globalized economy is more than just transactions of money and goods, according to Ma.

China to remove 40% tariffs on US cars

Beijing will "reduce and remove" the 40% tariffs it places on US cars imported into China, US President Donald Trump has said.China has not commented on President Trump's announcement, which he made on Twitter without providing details.Failure to strike a deal would have seen tariffs on $200bn worth of Chinese goods rise from 10% to 25% at the start of next year, and would have opened the way for tariffs on additional Chinese goods.

It could be the end of exports and imports. Now countries like Pakistan have made 150 JF-17 fighter jets. Made in Africa cars are better than many Indian cars. Now countries have the technology to make cars, automobiles, computers, mobile phones etc.. It will be America first, China first, India first, buy made in Africa and so on.....

Facebook under fire for not stopping sale of child bride

Facebook is under fire from international human rights organizations for not stopping the sale of a 16-year-old child bride on its site that started at the end of October. An auction was held on the social media giant for the marriage of a 16-year-old girl in South Sudan on Nov. 3. The winner reportedly gave the girl’s father 500 cows, three cars and $10,000 in exchange for his daughter, according to Plan International, a children’s rights organization.

Facebook is public posting. How do you check 1 billion users posts and photos, videos, news etc.... ??  Facebook will be bad for the world.

Facebook shared data with other firms after data harvesting

Internal Facebook documents, previously seized by Britain, confirm that the tech giant made a habit of sharing user data with other firms without user consent and tried to avoid bad publicity by obfuscating its data vacuuming.

The data-hungry mammoth wanted to know how people used their mobile phones, so it changed Facebook’s mobile app to enable it to harvest more information from devices it was installed on. It deliberately made it harder for users to be aware of this happening in order to avoid bad PR, the MP stressed. Facebook also used its position as user data provider to affect the businesses of its competitors in social media, like Twitter, the report said.

UK MPs seize documents expected to expose Facebook's covert data harvesting

The UK Parliament has taken hold of documents from Facebook that may shed light on the online giant's carefree approach to user privacy amid claims that it was fully aware of user data loopholes exploited by Cambridge Analytica. The documents, which are now to be reviewed by the British MPs, are said to include a confidential correspondence between Facebook's senior officials, including Mark Zuckerberg, who has so far snubbed requests to testify before parliament. The news on the massive data breach broke in March with Facebook later admitting the data of up to 87 million people might have been shared with Cambridge Analytica without their explicit consent.

It is alleged that the data was harvested to target the users in political campaigns, including in former UKIP leader Nigel Farage's Leave.EU campaign.

Woman sues facebook for getting raped and forced her into sex trafficking

A Texas woman is suing Facebook for allegedly facilitating sex trafficking on its platform. The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims that at the age of 16, she was friended by another Facebook user, with whom she had friends in common, and he later beat, raped and forced her into sex trafficking. He also allegedly posted photos of her on the now defunct The suit names and two hotel owners as defendants as well.

The complaint says Facebook "has continually been used to facilitate human trafficking by allowing sex traffickers an unrestricted platform to stalk, exploit, recruit, groom, recruit and extort children into the sex trade. Facebook is now the first point of contact between sex traffickers and these children... Facebook not only provides an unrestricted platform for these sex traffickers to target children, but it also cloaks the traffickers with credibility."

if 1,000,000,000 people can post on social media [facebook], there will be major/serious problems.

That is the bad/scary side of social media. Criminals are more active on Facebook. I have seen pictures of men with AK-47 on facebook. Be careful.

2) Funny thing is that I've never believed this tinfoil sh%t untile one time I was talking on the phone about my friend Cosmo, just his nickname but w/e. And hours after that I've started to get this ad about some "Cosmo phone" sh%t on the Instagram. That experience was like waking after a party night and finding your wallet empty

Amazon data breach reveals private details of customers ahead of Black Friday

Amazon has suffered a data breach, disclosing the names and email addresses of a number of its users, in a blow ahead of its busiest time of year. The retail giant confirmed it had "informed customers" who may have been affected by the disclosure, which happened due to a technical error on Amazon's website. When approached about the disclosure, Amazon declined to give any further details about how many users may have been affected, although the email is thought to have been sent to customers across the world, as well as members of the Amazon Vine review program.

Amazon Inc. at $200 billion on stock markets will be perfect. No company can be worth more than $200 billion in market value.

Employees must resign from Tainted Billionaire's businesses

There is very good example of Indian billioanire "Vijaya Malaya" who has to pay $1.2 billion to his creditors.

Vijaya Malaya airline "Kingfisher airlines" has been grounded due to non-payment of $200 million to $500 million towards fuel debts. Malaya's properties got no buyers at the auctions done in April 2016 by creditors to recover their money. Vijaya Malaya is the owner of biggest alcohol factory in India and he promotes semi-naked women & girls from his rich lifestyles.
